"To Consume and To Be Consumed"

This work contemplates the stereotypes we place on people’s net worth. The pig comes to symbolize poverty: abused, overstuffed, and then ironically labeled as ‘gluttonous’, reflecting how we judge people struggling at the bottom. Meanwhile, the dog represents the controlled reputation of the rich, whose ‘good name’ often reveals their position at the top of the hierarchy. It’s a critique of the perceptions and stereotypes held on people.

The ram, a pagan symbol of the uterus and hence womanhood, sits amongst a childish, feminine bed. This contrast reflects the constrictive, submissive and often childish role many women are forced upon.
